Home Watch
Let Distinct Home Watch & Concierge, take care of your residence in Southwest Florida with regularly scheduled weekly visits.
During each visit, the following will be looked at:
Upon Arrival
- Exterior check of grounds, landscape, lawn and sprinklers
- Remove newspaper, flyers, check mail
- Visual exterior check including roof (from ground), screens, windows, AC units, fence
- Turn water on
- Enter home, disarm security system, if appropriate
Interior Check
- Check all windows and doors for damage and ensure they are locked and secured
- Look for signs of water damage, mold and mildew
- Cycle the water: brush and flush toilets, run water in kitchen and bathrooms and garbage disposal
- Short cycle the dishwasher and washer
- Check the water heater - it should be turned OFF at circuit breaker, or on Vacation Mode. If there is a Circulator Pump, that should be OFF. Procedure varies by type of equipment
- Check closets, pantry and storage cabinets
- Verify AC and humidistat settings
- Check all appliances for proper temp and operation
- Check circuit breaker panels
- Check for signs of insects or other rodents
- Check garage and make sure door to garage is locked, if requested
Lanai and Pool Area
- Check screen door, screening and cage structure
- Check patio furniture
- Check pool and equipment if applicable
Departure
- Enable security system, lock doors
- Turn OFF water supply

- Contractor supervision and maintenance/repair appointments scheduled and supervised
- Schedule appointments to meet family, guests or tenants upon arrival and departure
- Scheduled vehicle drives
- Leisure, such as golf tee times or excursions booked
- Handyman services sourced and scheduled; e.g., lanai screen repairs
- Errand running
- Mail pick up and courier
- Hurricane preparation
